Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Product information Edit
AutoCAD is a desktop application of design for architecture, construction, engineering, landscape design, and related industries. The primary difference between AutoCAD and other CAD programs is that it provides the ability to edit and process geometry directly. For instance, AutoCAD can be used to model the contours of a road, and then give each segment of the road a different colour, and another AutoCAD software program may be used to design the colouring of the asphalt and the tarmac.
AutoCAD was originally created by Sulley Rusby, who had previously used a primitive version of AutoCAD at the University of Waterloo. Rusby soon realized that AutoCAD needed to be a commercial product that would be useful to architects, and founded Autodesk in 1982. The first version of AutoCAD was marketed as a drawing program for IBM PC compatible computers, but was also available for Apple II, DOS, and Unix computers.
In 1987, the company introduced AutoCAD LT, a version of AutoCAD that ran on Apple Macintosh computers, and soon afterward, also for Microsoft Windows. Both products are based on the same graphics engine and code base. AutoCAD LT is a light weight version of AutoCAD, containing most of the functionality found in the full version, and also including a native Macintosh GUI. It is intended to run on lower-specification computers, but has been seen running on systems with 128 Mbytes of RAM or less.
AutoCAD is used to create models of buildings, mechanical and electrical systems, and other engineering drawings. Models are commonly described in text or raster graphics (bitmap), but can be created in vector graphics (graphic) using vector-based drawing (and editing) tools. Vector drawings can be easily edited, rotated, scaled, flipped, and so forth. The figure illustrates an architecturally-oriented AutoCAD drawing, as if it were printed on a piece of paper.
AutoCAD’s modelling tools include layers, drawings of different types (for example, floorplan, elevations, sections, drawings of components, and so on), dimensions, text, and annotation. Each element (for example, a floor plan) can be «grouped» so that it is independent of other elements. These groups can also be exported for use with another AutoCAD product or on another operating system, such as a Microsoft Windows version of AutoC

AutoCAD contains an Application Store. Autodesk also provides the file format DXF for exchange of drawings.
AutoCAD LT has a subset of features of AutoCAD, such as the ability to edit drawing properties in the right-click context menu, but has some features not available in AutoCAD, such as the ability to apply 3D drawing transformations, crop images, create an unlimited number of layers, change the ViewType and, with Autodesk Revit LT, even import 3D models.
AutoCAD LT also does not have a ribbon menu system. When navigating in the application, it has the context menu system and in some areas there is a contextual help menu for standard tools. It also does not have the ability to save the application as an executable file for later use, although it has a simple save dialog.
The AutoCAD LT application that comes with AutoCAD LT supports Microsoft Windows 3.1x and Windows 95 only. When not working in the file editor, the application appears as a standard Win32 application with a Windows XP style top bar.
AutoCAD is one of the most widely used CAD programs, along with AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD WS, and Autodesk DWG File (originally AutoCAD Expert). It is commonly used in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, interior design, and structural engineering. With the release of AutoCAD 2009, the interface has changed to a more Windows look-and-feel, with a usable context menu, scroll bar in certain dialog boxes and other features. The majority of the tools have been redesigned to be more intuitive and easier to use.
In 2002, AutoCAD had an annual revenue of $310 million, and during that year, AutoCAD accounted for about 23 percent of Autodesk’s revenue. In 2006, AutoCAD’s revenue increased to $500 million. In 2007, AutoCAD 2012 released for Windows 7 and had a revenue of $705 million. In 2013, Autodesk reported that AutoCAD’s average selling price was $825.
AutoCAD LT was first released in 1998. The first release of AutoCAD was in 1982.
AutoCAD has several variations of the current name and version numbering. There was an initial release of AutoCAD in 1982.

Christmas in Costa Rica
Christmas was extra busy with work this year, but a holiday to Costa Rica in January is just as worthwhile. This is the only tropical country in Central America with any semblance of a white Christmas. It’s a whole other world compared to the colder, more isolated climates of the other eight countries. Here, you can enjoy over-indulging in whatever your preferences are — surfing, relaxing on the beach, or the Costa Rican tree house where I spent most of my time. The weather was so nice that it was easy to get out and about, which was nice considering that I was working seven days a week and only took time off for the 24th.
Below are some of the photos I took. I took a lot of photos — I was trying to capture as much as I could. This was the last day before we left the country and made the drive back to San Jose, but I still took a few.
We stayed at «Hotel Emilia» in La Fortuna. It’s a great hotel and I definitely recommend it.

What’s New in the AutoCAD?
Improvements in the drawing interface have brought new features to the Markup tool. When you use the Markup tool, a feature is applied to the object you select. The feature applied to the object is stored in the local drawing file. Now, you can use the Markup tool to switch to the feature of any object previously marked up. To do this, you can either double-click the Markup tool or press the E key to enter Edit mode, and choose the Feature to Apply option from the Select panel on the Feature panel of the Home tab. (video: 1:18 min.)
Two new tools make it possible to change how the features appear. When you click the Markup tool and select a feature on the object, the feature can be changed from a Line to a Rounded Rectangle. A new choice is added to the Format menu on the Options bar, so you can choose to always make a drawing with the Lines feature applied. (video: 1:15 min.)
New feature pane on the Status bar gives you information about the features currently marked up in the drawing. (video: 1:11 min.)
When you use the Markup tool to apply the Feature, you can also choose the Feature to Apply option from the Feature panel of the Home tab, which enables you to select which feature to use.
You can continue to apply all the marks you previously made to the objects in the drawing and the marks remain when you save the drawing. The Markup tool works only with features that are already defined. (video: 1:15 min.)
To ensure that you have a way of making consistent and accurate marks, you can easily set the color of the mark. You can choose the color of the mark from the Color panel on the Home tab. You can assign the same color to multiple marks, including line color and arrow color. You can also create marks for objects with multiple materials. (video: 1:08 min.)
The Markup tool displays the feature applied to the object after you mark it up. For example, when you mark a line, you will see the line appear after you click the Markup tool. If you double-click the Markup tool, you can make a change to the feature that has already been applied. You can also use the Markup tool to apply the hatch. For more information on using the Markup tool, see Markups.
System Requirements For AutoCAD:
Step 1. Select your Internet connection speed
Many of the best 3D games require Internet connection for synchronization of sounds, animations, models, videos, sounds etc. It is very important that your Internet connection is at least 512 KB/s for 3D gaming as the process of downloading of data will be much slower than other games.
Step 2. Select your computer speed
The speed of your computer is one of the most important factors in order to have the best possible graphics and gameplay experience. It is important that you have at least 2GB of RAM for
